The Meriwether Lewis Crest was taken from Captain Meriwether
Lewis of the Lewis and Clark expedition that so many of Camp
Meriwethers traditions and history is based upon. So naturally
a symbol was needed for the camp, and Chief Obie determined
that the family crest of the famous explorer which the camp
is named after would be appropriate. The upper left quarter
of the crest shows a sun smiling. It means that the family was
happy and affluent in the community. The lower left quarter
of the crest shows three birds or what are known as martlets.
These three martlets show that the holder of this crest was
the fourth son in his family. These lions represent that the

The Hunsberger Family Crest No authoritative crest or

Salvatore Pagoria (Palermo, Italy) stated that he remembers
a family crest that was located in his family's house when he
was young. All the research that I have conducted has not turned
up a Pagoria family crest. Salvatore did obtain two crests from
a street vendor in Sicily that were in theory Pagoria crests,
but these crests were actually Pagano crests. All indications
from the research conducted by Deb Hill leads to the belief
that the Pagoria name is not derived from Pagano, so the validity
of these crests is very doubtful. There are no indications that
the Pagorias were ever a "noble" family, that would warrant
