Gerald A Morris Memorial Scholarship

The Butler SWCD is offering a non-renewable $500
college scholarship to students enrolling in classes which
focus on the conservation of natural resources.
Open to students of Sophomore status, who are pursuing a bachelor
or associate degree at an accredited university or college.
Applicants must have a decided major in natural resource education,
agriculture, land management, or a related field.
Original, personal essay pertaining to the reason for choosing
a degree in a conservation-related field.
The recipient of this non-renewable scholarship will receive
a letter and the $500 check.
The deciding committee reserves the right to refuse the application
due to any component, including: its incomplete condition,
essay and recommendation letter content, course type, and
previous scholarship earnings.

of Texas, Texas Home School Coalition (THSC) has established
a scholarship fund for Texas home school graduates who attend
Patrick Henry College (PHC).
Please understand that this is only an application process
and that applicants are not guaranteed any scholarship money
by merely completing the application.
In considering each application, THSC's policy is to not discriminate
on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origins, sex,
age, or disability.
If chosen recipient does not register that year, the money

awards the Marion Piper Sullivan Scholarship to a local college

The $500 scholarship is a tribute to Sullivan, a former NDPC

Selection of the scholarship recipient is based on the applicant's
essay (60 percent), career plans (20 percent) and extracurricular

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Office of Financial Aid for
Studies has announced that 124 incoming frosh from 58 participating
Presbyterian Church-related colleges and unversities have
been granted National Presbyterian College Scholarships (NPCS)
for the 1997-98 academic year.
Including renewed grants to students who received them in
prior years, a total of 646 students at PC(USA)-related colleges
and unversities will receive NPCS grants next year.
During the current academic year, the Office for Financial
Aid for Studies has committed $238,000 to the program and
the participating schools have contributed $536,000.
Grant recipients are selected by an eight-member committee
of representatives from participating schools, who serve on
a rotating basis.
