Am I Scholarship Material?
athlete, schools, student athlete, scholarship, courses, core courses,
college, skill, ability, coaches, coach. Most student
athletes have a very difficult time assessing their ability to obtain an athletic
scholarship.
The lack of knowledge, particularly of the U.S. University
and college system where athletic scholarships are a way of life.
Knowledge
of the entire athletic scholarship procedure that is a focus in the American high
school programs, is very foreign to most secondary schools in other countries.
The most important objective for any student athlete is to make use of his/her
athletic skills to obtain the financial support to attend a university or college,
achieve a degree and ultimately a career.
Student athletes should seek
out programs operated by high profile, experienced coaches where the focus is
on continuous training and skill development.
