Ole Miss head football coach David Cutcliffe's biography contained inaccuracies and will be reworded, athletic director John Shafer said Wednesday.

"After reviewing the biography in the media guide, we have elected to rephrase portions of the biography that might have been misunderstood," Shafer said.

Cutcliffe received to attend the University of Alabama.

Cutcliffe's bio in the 2001 media guide says he signed a scholarship with the Crimson Tide in 1972, but "his promising career as a linebacker never got off the ground when an injury ended his playing days before he could ever participate in Tuscaloosa."

However, Cutcliffe was apparently not placed on a football scholarship, but rather a "work scholarship," according to a report in Thursday's Commercial Appeal.
