The American Christian Family Purpose The purpose of
this website is to encourage thought and dialog in regards
to the American Christian Family. The goal is for those of
us who seek to raise Godly families according to God's holy
Word to "see to it that no one takes you captive through hollow
and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition
and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ."
(Colossians 2:8) Premise Families are the foundation to God's
covenant community. While American Christian families in churches
today are often distinguishable from families outside the
church, we have become so inoculated by our American culture
that we have strayed far from Biblical standards and patterns.
The result is that the church has relatively little impact
on American culture today. What is a "family?"

That book is great! I thought it would be a somewhat
interesting reprinting of your columns, but I am pleased to
note that the additional verbiage accompanying each column really
adds to the original column. I must say that the best column
you ever wrote is still (in my mind) the one you wrote when
your dad died. "In The Fight" is "in my library" and will be
read and perused often. Friedeman quotes Oliver Wendell Holmes
when he says, "The place for a man who is complete in all powers,
is in the fight." For ten years I've watched Friedeman be "in
the fight" through the written page, on talk radio, online at
InTheFight.com, running marathons for Habitat for Humanity,
praying at the Capitol for the lives of Mississippi's unborn,
building the church, instructing future preachers and ministering
to his community. But this book is more than a review of Friedeman's
journey as a Mississippi conservative, and more than a review
of recent political history. But he also is one that

Out of the mist of the Appalachian Mountians and out
of the mist of time a man named William Nix made his way through
a virgin wilderness. With his wife Frances he traveled into
lands never seen before by most white men. Along the way he
left a legacy of children that would grow to help populate this
land and in their own small way shape it's future. Where did
William Nix come from? It does promote family history. The confederate
battle flag is a symbol of part of that history and for better
or worse it represents an important part of American history.
There were over 560 Nix's in the Civil War on both sides, my
branch of the family just happened to fight for the South. If
you want a family history website like this one or just geneaology
research please click here for more information on prices. There
are white Nix's, black Nix's, native american Nix's and Nix's
from just about every corner of the earth. |
