When suddenly transplanted into a new culture, one feels
like a fish being out of water. However, if one can fuse deeply
to the kind of new lifestyle and customs, he will be lucky and
happy. Brian Ruckle, 32, a teacher of China Agriculture University
married into a Chinese family and spoke to a class of 34 students
Thursday at the East campus about the differences and similarities
of American and Chinese culture. Brians Chinese family is made
up of his Chinese wife-Amber, his wifes older brother, sister
and parents. During his speech, he always said I m lucky; I
love both of my families. American family is more affectionate
and expresses individuals emotions directly. Even, every time
he and his wife went home a little later, their parents always
stood outside the door to wait for them, which had made him
feel the deep and great love from his warm Chinese family. Brians
